ITINERARY

Day 1 (10 JUN 2011 FRIDAY): Hanoi – Lao Cai  (-/-/-)

  • Arrive at Hanoi airport at 08:50 hrs, pick up and transfer to hotel.
  • Check-in time is 14:00 hrs and early check-in is not included.
  • Accommodation at Boss 3* hotel, Superior room
  • Meals included:None

Day 2 (11 JUN 2011 SATURDAY): Hanoi – Lao Cai (-/-/-)

  • Free day at leisure.
  • Late check-out until 18:00 hrs.
  • Pick up at hotel in Hanoi at around 21:00 hrs and transfer to Hanoi train station. Overnight train trip to Lao Cai in shared 4 Beth sleeping compartments.
  • (Group of 6 people will have 1 private cabin for 4 persons and 3 persons will share cabin with other 1 passengers unless pay for charter cabin)
  •  Accommodation on Orient Express Train (A/C, soft sleeper, Timber cabin

Day 3 (12 JUN 2011 SUNDAY): Bac Ha Sunday Market – Sapa (B/L/-)

  • Early breakfast at local restaurant and depart by car for the highland town of Bac Ha where you can wander through the local ethnic market. Bac Ha is a centre for alcohol manufacture and at the end of a busy day at the market the men folk can often be seen wending their merry way home. Lunch at local restaurant. Time for a last look around Bac Ha before driving to Sapa.
  • Check-in hotel you have time to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape or free discover the town on your own with Sapa Church, Sapa Love Market
  • Accommodation at Bamboo Sapa 3* hotel, Standard room

Day 4 (13 JUN 2011 MONDAY): Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Lao Cai (B/L/-)

  • In the morning, short trekking to visit it’s mystic rock formations (HAM RONG MOUNTAIN), rare orchids and flowers. You might have opportunity to enjoy the minority show performed by the young minority ladies and man, you also have opportunity to overview the whole picture of Sapa town in the clear day as well as visit the so-called “stone forest” here. Trekking back to Sapa.
  • Check-out the rooms then embark on a lovely trek that will take us along buffalo paths and trails and through several hills tribe villages Lao Chai & Ta Van, home to Black H’mong, and Dzay people. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet.  Once on the valley floor you can really appreciate the wonderful scenery that surrounds you. The walls of the valley are covered with multi-layered rice terraced fields and scattered villages.
  • 18:00 hrs Drive 1 hour to Lao Cai railway station by car.
  • Accommodation on Orient Express Train (A/C, soft sleeper, Timber cabin)

Day 5 (14 JUN 2011 TUESDAY): Hanoi Departure   (-/-/-)

  • Train arrives around 5:00hrs am.
  • Transfer to Hanoi airport for departure flight.
  • Meals included:None

  • Train ticket Hanoi to Lao Cai round trip (4 berth, A/C, soft sleeper, Timber cabin)

  • Transfers by private 16 seat van
  • English speaking tour guide see-off in Hanoi, guide will not go on train to save budget. Then Chinese speaking tour guide will assist whole tour in Sapa, see-off at train station in Lao Cai.
