16 Days Vietnam Tour

Day 1: HANOI ARRIVAL – WATER PUPPET SHOW (L/D)

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International airport in Hanoi, you will be welcomed by VIETstyle Holiday tour guide and transferred to hotel. (Hotel check-in time is 14:00 hrs, early check-in is at surcharge). Later this evening, attend the performance of the unique water puppetry. Have a welcomed dinner at local restaurant. Accommodation at hotel in Hanoi.

Day 2: HANOI CITY TOUR – NIGHT TRAIN TO SAPA (B/L)

After breakfast at hotel, check-out hotel. Start city tour with Ho Chi Minh Complex for visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Museum and One pillar pagoda. Continue to visit Literature temple, the first University in Vietnam in 16th century. Have lunch in restaurant in Hanoi. PM: Visit ethnological museum then have 1 hour cyclo in the old quarter. Free to discover the city until 20.30 hrs. Transfer to Hanoi Railways Station for night train to Lao Cai. Accommodation on Orient Express train or similar train, 4 berth compartment (A/C soft sleeper, timber cabin) Note: the cabin is 4-berth compartment, if you would wish to take the private cabin, the surcharge will be applied.

Day 3: LAO CAI – SAPA – CAT CAT VILLAGE (B)

Upon arrival in Lao Cai (at around 06:00), transferred to Sapa by car. Have breakfast. Relax. Your guide will meet you at hotel for short trek to Cat Cat village, the village of H’mong tribe in the valley, which remains very generally uncorrupted outside forces. Excellent views of the valley, the magnificent limestone and paddy fields of H’mong village. Enjoy some visits to local families and reach their customs. After the village down into the valley, the Cat Cat waterfall will be visible. A “White curtain” cascade appears, surrounded by flowery valley and deep-green pines. The rocks near the river and waterfall provide a marvelous place for picturesque photos and sunbathing during good weather. Accommodation at hotel in Sapa.

Day 4: SAPA – LAO CHAI – TA VAN – LAO CAI (B/L)

Breakfast before private car transferred to Lao Chai village, a village of Black H’mong. Short trek down to river to visit hill tribe house to see their living style and the local woman made their handicraft clothes. Further on along the road, the Ta Van village where Dzay people staying can be seen. Visit the village and reach their customs. Trek back to main road and the car take you back to Sapa, transferred to Lao Cai for night train back to Hanoi. Accommodation on Orient Express train, 4 berth compartment Note: the cabin is 4-berth compartment, so you and your partner will share the cabin with 2 other passengers. If you would wish to take the private cabin, the surcharge will be applied.

Day 5: HANOI – HALONG- OVERNIGHT ONBOARD (B/L/D)

Arrive in Hanoi at around 05:00 hrs. Transfer to the local restaurant for having breakfast. (Hotel day use is at surcharge) 08:00 hrs, transfer to Halong city for boat cruise on the Bay, stop on route to admire the landscape picture, you might take picture of buffalo boy. Embark on Deluxe Junk, check in registration. Boat screw will greetings you special seafood lunch with welcome drink, boat cruise around the bay to visit Dinh Huong island, Ga Choi island, Dog island, Sail island, visit Sung Sot cave and a swim at Titov beach, and enjoy sunset. Have dinner on board with Vietnamese wine and overnight on boat. Accommodation onboard

Day 6: HALONG BAY – HANOI – FLIGHT TO HUE (B)

After breakfast, you can relax on deck to enjoy the beauty atmosphere of the bay, boat passing the most beauty of islets like Man’s head island, Tortoise island, visit Luon cave, Bai Tu Long bay. Return to Ha Long wharf. Arrive at the pier, transfer to Hanoi airport for flight to Hue in the evening by VN1545 (20:10 – 21:20 hrs). Arrive at Hue airport, transfer to hotel for overnight. Day 7: HUE FULL DAY CITY TOUR (B/L)

Take a morning boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River, passing the 10-metre thick protective walls of the Citadel on board a Vietnamese ‘dragon boat’. A short distance up river is perhaps Hue’s best-known religious site, the Thien Mu Pagoda with its distinctive seven-storey octagonal tower. Having explored the pagoda and its beautiful grounds, return to Hue via Dong Ba market. After lunch, visit the elaborate mausoleums of Emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh, both extravagant complexes of pavilions, temples, courtyards and lakes. You can also walk through the heavily bombed remains of the Imperial Citadel, built along the lines of Beijing’s Forbidden City and from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. Day 8 HUE – DANANG – HOI AN (B/L)

In the morning, drive ahead to Hoi An via Danang, passing Hai Van pass. On the way, visit Marble Mountains, a scenic spot with caves, temples, shrines, pagodas and a great view of the surrounding area. The caves can be reached by climbing steep steps. Continue to visit Cham museum in Danang which houses the finest collection of Champa sculptures; some may date back to as early as 7th century. Drive ahead to Hoi An. Check-in hotel. Rest of the day free at your leisure. Accommodation at hotel in Hoi An.

Day 9: HOI AN – MY SON – HOI AN WALKING TOUR (B/L)

Drive to My Son, the Imperial City of the Champa empire between the 4th and 12th century. My Son Sanctuary is a large complex of religious ruins comprising more than 70 architectural remains and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way back short stop to visit the Sa Huynh Champa Museum in Tra Kieu. Continue to Hoi An. After lunch at a local restaurant, discover Hoi An during a leisurely walking tour. You will visit some of the historic merchant and community houses, places of worship and famous bridges. Accommodation at hotel in Hoi An.

Day 10: HOI AN – DANANG – FLIGHT TO NHA TRANG (B/L)

In the morning, transfer you to Danang airport for flight to Nha Trang by VN1943 (10:20 – 11:45 hrs). Arrive at Nha Trang airport, pick up and transfer to hotel. Check-in time is 14:00 hrs. Rest of the day free at leisure. Accommodation at hotel in Nha Trang.

Day 11: NHA TRANG BAY TOUR (B/L)

08h45: Pick up in Nha Trang city to Cau Da Pier. 09h15: Make a boat trip to 4 islands: Mun Island: – Swim and snorkel for beholding various kinds of multi – colourful corals and fishes. Mot Island: – Lunch with seafood. – Join floating bar for heart to heart animating game. Tranh Island: – Relax with water sport activities, at leisure. – Enjoy a light fruit party. Tri Nguyen Aquarium: – Behold sea creatures. 16h00: Back to Nha Trang. Accommodation at hotel in Nha Trang.

Day 12: NHA TRANG – DALAT (B/L)

Departing the coast for the French hill station of Da Lat, we pass Cam Ranh Naval Base and a glance at another Cham tower, dedicated to King Po Klong Garai. On the way we explore the Prenn Falls, the “Thousand Flower Valley”, some pine forests, enjoy Da Lat’s still fresh mountain air and admire its typical French villas. Visit to Park of flower, Romantic hill – beholding Mini great wall, ancient house, Da Lat historical village (learning about the art of hand embroidery). Enjoying Da Lat specialities. A visit to Goldern Valley –Dankia Lake, Domain de Marie Church. Accommodation at hotel in Dalat.

Day 13: DALAT – FLIGHT TO HO CHI MINH CITY (B/L)

Take the flight to Ho Chi Minh City by VN1383 (07:50 – 08:40 hrs). Drive to visit Cu Chi Tunnels (70 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City), an amazing complex of underground tunnels used during the Vietnam War. There are more than 200 km of tunnels, comprising a main axis system with many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters and other tunnels. You have the chance to crawl through this amazing system of tunnels. Accommodation at hotel in Saigon.

Day 14: HO CHI MINH CITY – MY THO FULL DAY (B/L)

08:00 hrs, pick up at your hotel and take 2 hour drive southwest of Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta which is known as the rice bowl of Vietnam. Upon arrival, take a boat cruise around islets and tropical orchards through the canal of Vam Xep to reach a small islet, followed by a relaxing walk along shady and palm fringed trails passing by local villages where you can see their peaceful daily life. Stop en route to visit a bee farm, sip tea with honey and sample fruits with a local family and share their stories of life in the Mekong Delta. Visit a small coconut workshop, just to get a glimpse of typical family run business in this area. Walk to a lane where a horse-drawn cart awaits you to transfer to visit handicraft village, a coconut candy factory, enjoy tropical fruit, traditional music and then relaxation with rowing boat through the narrow under shade palm, tree-lined canals of Mekong River before returning to My Tho by motorized boat. Enjoy the lunch at local restaurant on the islet before heading back Saigon. Accommodation at hotel in Saigon.

Day 15: HO CHI MINH CITY – FULL DAY CITY TOUR (B/L)

Start the city tour with the visit to Notre Dame Cathedral, the old Post Office and the former Presidential Palace. Continue to visit the War Remnants Museum. After lunch at a local restaurant, explore Chinatown (Cholon) with a visit to Thien Hau Pagoda. Stop at Ben Thanh Market for shopping. Accommodation at hotel in Saigon.

Day 16: HO CHI MINH CITY – DEPARTURE (B)
